Life Update: Hey everyone, once again I’m writing a post about why I haven’t posted in so long. If you’re new to my blog, I should probably tell you that I’m bad at making time for reading when I have other things to do. Actually, I think I’m just bad at reading in general. I definitely have a case of magpie syndrome. I get new books and instantly want to start reading them even though I have piles and piles of other books to read. This causes problems for my reading, but if I’m busy, this also causes problems for me. I had a job throughout the summer, but I thought I was going to be able to read a lot after work. That didn’t happen, but I did manage to read on my commutes to work. After working for the summer, I started my Masters at University, which has been a little hectic. I have so much academic reading […]
I saw this tag on Mercedes’ channel over on youtube. It was originally created by Megan Olivier on youtube. 1. Where do you buy your books from? I buy my books from a lot of different places. The one place I buy from most frequently is Book Outlet. They have so many great books for such great prices. I also buy from Book Depository (free shipping, yay!), AbeBooks, Amazon, and Chapters. 2. Do you ever pre orders book and if so do you do this in store or online? I don’t pre-order books very often, but if I do, it’s generally online either from Book Depository, Amazon or Chapters. 3. On average, how many books do you buy a month? This number varies. It depends on whether there’s a sale on Book Outlet, and on how many book hauls I watch on booktube. It’s been lessening over the past few months because I haven’t had a lot of time to read. 4. […]
Hey everyone! (If there are any of you still here, reading this) I know I’ve been absent for a really long time. I started this blog at the end of last summer because I wanted to motivate myself to read more during the school year. Well, you can see how well that went. I made a post about the books I was bringing with me to university, and I haven’t read any of them. I read two books in the last 4 months, one of them was at the end of January, and the other was at the beginning of this month. I wasn’t able to keep up with reading as much as I would have liked, but that is hopefully going to change. I am going to try and keep up with this blog again now that I’m done school for the summer. If I can get into a rhythm of posting, hopefully I can continue in the fall […]
I am about to start my fourth year of university, and I wanted to bring a good selection of different genres of books with me. I am very much a mood reader, so I’m hoping that I stay in the mood to read at least some of these. I wanted to bring some thriller/mysteries for October; I love a creepy read near Halloween. I definitely wanted to bring some historical fiction and magical realism books for the winter; and sci-fi and fantasy are always good for any time of the year. If you are interested in hearing what these books are about, keep reading! The Final Empire (Mistborn #1) by Brandon Sanderson This is an adult epic fantasy about a world where people are able to use magic, which is referred to as allomancy. The people in this world are able to use metals to help them perform magic. So many people love this book, and it sound so interesting. […]
Since this blog is only days old, it felt appropriate to do the book blogger newbie tag! You can find the original tag here. So here are my answers to the questions! 1. Why did you start this blog? I started this blog because I love to talk about books, and I would love to meet other bookish people; I want to be a part of the community. I also wanted to start this blog to help myself make more time for reading. I also want to use this blog along with a booktube channel one day, and I thought this would be a good way to work up to booktube. 2. What are some fun and unique things you can bring to book blogging? I hope I can bring a unique view to some of the books I read and review. Everyone has different opinions, and it’s great to share them and discuss them. I hope I can also bring […]
Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog! I decided to start this blog because I love books, and I love talking to people about them.
