Favourite Minor Characters | Top 5 Wednesday

May 24, 2017     Marissa     Books, Top 5 Wednesday

Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey over at gingerreadslainey on YouTube. There are new topics every Wednesday and there’s also a Goodreads group open to everyone where you can find the topics. I don’t really have a lot of words for this week’s T5W, it’s more like me spewing little snippets of feels at you.

1. Dobby from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

I just absolutely love Dobby. I remember watching Chamber of Secrets and seeing Dobby on screen. He was just so cute, and I just love his story. For me the best part is when Harry gives him the sock. I really don’t think my love for Dobby needs any explanation.

2. Luna Lovegoood from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

Ugh, LUNA. Luna is so precious and weird, and wonderful. I just love her. This is another one that needs no explanations.

3. Olenna Tyrell from the Game of Thrones series by George R. R. Martin

Lady Olenna Tyrell is a badass. She’s so sassy, I just love her so much. GRRM writes the sass so well.

4. Lee Scoresby from the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman

Lee Scoresby is such an amazing character from a novel that is filled with a whole host of other amazing characters as well. This series is one of my favourites, I absolutely love it. Lee Scoresby is a cowboy from Texas (no, not the Texas in the US) who rides around in a hot air balloon. He’s so selfless and caring, and he’ll just make you feel all the feels.

5.  ELIXIR from The Unseen World by Liz Moore

I don’t want to say too much about this one because I don’t want to give spoilers. This book and this character will give you so many feelings. I really, really, really love this book, and the way this character’s story ends is really bittersweet. It will make you feel happy, yet also very sad.

That’s all for Top 5 Wednesday! Let’s talk about your favourite characters down in the comments! Also, if you’ve read any of the books the characters are from, come discuss with me!
